Why the Change in Manel Grigoryan's Detention Measures Was Not Widely Accepted by Society
During a question-and-answer session with the government, Lilit Stepanyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, inquired from the Prime Minister why the change in detention measures for former YSU president Manel Grigoryan was not widely accepted by the public, and what this might indicate.
The MP also questioned whether the reports circulating in the media about Grigoryan's health condition were accurate.
Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan addressed the inquiry, stating, 'There was information that his health problems had worsened. Of course, it was not within our domain to change his detention measures, but a decision was made that in such cases, serving detention cannot pursue a specific goal.'
As for the public's reaction, the minister found it challenging to answer the question.
