The Red Line Has Been Crossed: Suren Sargsyan on Iran-U.S. Relations

International relations expert Suren Sargsyan wrote on his Facebook page: “Everything unfolded as I had predicted... I stated that Iran would respond to General Soleimani's death. The human casualties were precisely the red line that both countries were trying not to cross. The red line has been crossed.

There will, of course, not be military clashes within the territories of the two countries. Iran will deliver a retaliatory strike. There will be clashes involving armed groups under the influence of the two states. All American military bases in the region are within the reach of Iranian missiles.

Potential points of conflict will be Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and so on.”
