Japan Temporarily Closes Its Embassy in Iraq
Japan has temporarily closed its embassy in Iraq and urged its citizens to leave the country. According to a statement from Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this decision comes amid rising tensions in the region and the potential emergence of an unpredictable situation.
"Due to the increasing tensions in the region and the possibility of an unpredictable situation arising, the Japanese embassy in Iraq will be temporarily closed on January 8, and we urge our nationals to leave the country immediately," the Ministry's statement reads.
