Robert Kocharian's Defense Team Files Recusal Motion Against Judge Lusine Abgaryan

During today's session at the Court of Appeals, Robert Kocharian's defense team submitted a recusal motion against Judge Lusine Badalyan. The defense argued the necessity for recusal by stating that, firstly, the judge's brother, Davit Abgaryan, holds an 'anti-Kocharian' viewpoint and is closely associated with Vahe Grigoryan, who represents the prosecution.

Additionally, according to H. Alumyan, the 'Datalex' website indicated that the judge was supposed to go on leave, but this was postponed to ensure the case was assigned to her directly. Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan considered this claim as a step towards examining illogical evidence.

Regarding the relationship with Vahe Grigoryan, Baghdasaryan stated that this circumstance should not be related to the judge's duties. The session continues.
