This is nothing more than legalizing the ability to avoid military service for $20,000: Mikayel Nahapetyan

Member of the executive body of the newly established "Citizen's Decision" party, Mikayel Nahapetyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "MP Hayk Sargsyan from the 'My Step' faction has introduced a draft law that proposes allowing mandatory military service to be completed in one month ‘accelerated’ for the cost of 10 million drams.

This is nothing more than legalizing the ability to avoid military service for $20,000. I hope that this draft will be comprehensively blocked.

The messages of this draft project evoke nothing but disgust. What does this mean, that only the poor must look death in the eye? The real parent must be able to put down 10 million to secure their child's life? Do you think a military built on such social injustice can be anything but dangerous?"
