Eranosyan Has Found Work for Winter: What Will He Be Doing?
The former Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia, Levon Eranosyan, is preparing to engage in greenhouse agriculture. This was stated by Eranosyan during a conversation with reporters before a court hearing regarding criminal charges against him at the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court.
"I have no business; I am currently occupied with something completely different," he said. When asked about his earlier statement during a previous hearing that he was involved in gardening, and now, with winter approaching, what he plans to do if he has no businesses, Eranosyan replied with a smile that he will buy and establish greenhouses.
Responding to another question regarding his views on the events surrounding the police, Eranosyan stated that he is not a policeman but a soldier serving in the army.
Today's court session regarding the criminal case against Eranosyan was postponed because the court lacked the opportunity to view and examine video footage. The next court session is scheduled for January 15, 2020, at 16:00.
It should be noted that Eranosyan is accused of abusing his official powers. According to the materials of the criminal case, on April 16 and 22, 2018, during mass protests in Yerevan, he used eight "Zarya" type sound grenades against the protesters without having the authority to obtain and personally employ such devices, resulting in injuries to over twenty individuals. As a result of the use of special measures, six members of the police forces serving on Baghramyan Avenue sustained physical injuries.
