If the gas price changes from January 1, it will not affect Armenian consumers: Deputy Minister
Even if the gas price changes from January 1, 2020, it will not affect consumers. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Hakob Vardanyan, during a conversation with journalists.
The deputy minister noted that in the case of a price change, Gazprom Armenia would need to apply to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, and only after that would the gas tariffs for consumers be determined.
“The current contract expires on December 31; negotiations are currently underway,” he said.
