Why was the ‘Spayka’ truck detained at the Lars checkpoint? New details
The Armenian Ministry of Economy has been informed about the detention of a truck loaded with cheese belonging to the ‘Spayka’ company at the Lars customs checkpoint. Anna Ohanyan, the press secretary of the Ministry of Economy, made a post on her Facebook page regarding the matter.
“The ministry has established contact with the officials responsible for the North Caucasus customs, who informed that the temporary hold-up of the truck is due to the fact that the checkpoint’s risk management system has categorized the cargo as risky in relation to the list of ‘sanctioned’ goods it potentially belongs to. According to their information, a sample has been sent to the relevant laboratory to determine the provenance of the cargo. After receiving the laboratory conclusion, a decision regarding the next steps concerning the cargo will be made,” wrote Ohanyan.
