Why Serge Sargsyan Did Not Attend the Celebration in Gyumri: Commentary by Armen Ashotyan

A formal invitation for participation in this festive event was extended in the name of Serge Sargsyan. This was stated today by the Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, in response to the question of why the third President of Armenia did not go to Gyumri.

“An invitation for participation in these festive events was received in the name of Serge Sargsyan, but since this event was planned a long time ago and we received the invitation only three days ago, it is natural that the president would come here with his party members, not to Gyumri, because the invitation arrived late,” said Armen Ashotyan.
