Identity of the Attempted Murderer in Malatia-Sebastia Revealed

The police have identified the individual involved in the attempted murder case that occurred on September 4 in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district.

At around 19:10, a call was received at the police regarding gunshots heard in the yard of Building 34 on Andranik Street. Minutes after the alert, the Malatia division of the police was informed by the ‘Astghik’ Medical Center that two men aged 62 and 45 had been admitted with gunshot wounds.

A number of operational teams from various police units and representatives of other law enforcement bodies arrived at the scene. An Automobile of 'Toyota' brand with traces of gunfire was located at the site. Additionally, a total of 26 cartridges from a pistol were found.

A criminal case has been initiated, and investigations are ongoing. Due to extensive operational and investigative measures conducted by the Yerevan City Police and other units, the identity of the suspect has been established. Efforts are continuing to locate S.M., born in 1977, and to recover the firearm used in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
