Driver Hits Two Pedestrians on David Bek Street, Collides with Opel and Flees
On September 5 in Yerevan, an extraordinary incident occurred. Around 8:00 PM, the driver of an unknown make and license plate vehicle struck pedestrians, 49-year-old Arthur S. and 42-year-old Sevak S., in front of building number 106/5 on David Bek Street.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver then veered into the opposite lane and collided with an Opel vehicle driven by 81-year-old Hayk G., bearing license plate 35 FT 619, before fleeing the scene.
The injured pedestrians were transported to Erebuni Medical Center, where Sevak S. later died after failing to regain consciousness.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 2 and Article 244, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The police and investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions to identify the driver who fled after hitting the pedestrians and colliding with the Opel.
