New Details After Burning Down House Following Stabbing of Homeowner

Today, police revealed horrifying details about the murder that took place yesterday in the Lori Province, according to Shamshyan.com. A 20-year-old resident of the village of Gyargyarr, Aren M., has been arrested on suspicion of committing the murder based on the investigator's decision.

The preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert indicated multiple knife wounds on the body. It has been reported that Aren M. set the house on fire after the murder in an attempt to destroy evidence.

Firefighting crews, upon arriving at the scene and extinguishing the house fire, discovered a partially burnt body inside. Earlier reports indicated that a residential house had burned down in the community of Pushkino in Lori Province. The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Zhirayr Basmajyants, a resident of Vanadzor who worked in the Lori regional administration.
