ISIS Claims Responsibility for Kabul Wedding Explosion

The Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the explosion that occurred in the Afghan capital, Kabul, last night. The blast resulted in the deaths of 63 people, with more than 180 others injured.

The explosion took place during a wedding ceremony at one of the banquet halls at around 10:40 PM local time. A suicide bomber detonated an explosive device.

Witnesses reported that he deliberately positioned himself in the most crowded area before setting off the bomb. Approximately 1,000 people were present at the wedding.

Previously, the Taliban movement denied any involvement in the incident.
