The Weapons Found in My Residence Have No Relation to the March 1 Case: Kocharyan
The weapons found in my residence have no relation to the March 1 case. This statement was made today by the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, during a session at the Court of Appeal concerning the seizure of his assets.
“All these weapons have been checked, and all the cartridges fired from them are in the police. They were legal weapons, and there was not a single weapon that had been used during the events of March 1 or any type of weapon that could be assumed to have a connection to March 1,” Kocharyan announced.
According to the former president, handguns and hunting firearms were confiscated from his residence. “They were simply handguns, which were donations from leaders and officials of other countries, as well as hunting weapons; these weapons have nothing to do with this criminal case,” he stated.
It is noteworthy that on August 6, the Special Investigative Service conducted a search of Robert Kocharyan's residence and office.
