Deputy Village Head Arrested for Assaulting Local Resident

The deputy village head of the Mrgashat community in the Armavir region has been arrested today.

According to Sputnik Armenia, the 31-year-old deputy is suspected of assaulting a 25-year-old villager from Mrgashat.

The young man was taken to the Armavir hospital, where it was determined that he had a fractured nose. He reported that the injury was sustained after falling into a garage pit. However, it was later revealed that he had lied about the incident.

Residents in the village are discussing that the dispute between them stemmed from financial issues.
