Fire Near Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex Extinguished
In Yerevan, 20 hectares of vegetation burned near the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
The 911 service received a call about the fire yesterday at 20:24. Four fire-rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene with a complexity rating of '1 BIS'. The crisis management national center's emergency response and operational teams also responded.
At 21:23, the fire's complexity was raised to 'Level 2', and an additional two firefighting units were sent to the scene. Subsequently, another two firefighting units along with three units from the Special Rescue Operations Center and an on-duty doctor from the Disaster Medicine Center were dispatched.
The fire was contained at 00:49 and extinguished by 01:21. From 01:41 to 02:39, two firefighting units carried out monitoring operations. The firefighting efforts were led by Minister of Emergency Situations Felix Tsolakyan.
