Protesters in Paris Begin Constructing Barricades in the Champs-Élysées
Following the military parade dedicated to France's National Day, which commemorates the storming of the Bastille, clashes between police and protesters have moved to the Champs-Élysées area in Paris, reports a correspondent from РИА-Новости from the scene.
Protesters are bringing iron barricades from the main streets of the French capital, which have remained on the sidewalks since the morning. Special police units are attempting to remove the barricades.
Clashes with the police are occurring at various locations on the Champs-Élysées, frequently shrouded in smoke from tear gas, which the wind blows towards the crowds.
According to information from BFMTV, police report that 152 people have already been detained in the first half of July 14.
