No Armenian Citizens or Ethnic Armenians Among Those Affected by Accident Near Kobuleti
The Armenian Embassy in Georgia has issued a statement regarding the accident that occurred near Kobuleti. The statement specifically notes: “Last night, an accident involving three vehicles took place near the city of Kobuleti, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to ten others. We inform that there are no Armenian citizens or ethnic Armenians among the deceased and injured.”
It is recalled that a five-year-old boy who sustained injuries in the car accident on the Kobuleti-Batumi highway on the evening of July 13 has died in the hospital. Two passengers, a couple arriving from Saudi Arabia, succumbed to their injuries. The deceased boy was their son. Another child from the family, a girl, was also injured. It is reported that the boy underwent several surgeries but was unable to be saved.
