Major Fire in Ararat Region: Fire Breaks Out During Welding at Auto Repair Site

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the police department of Artashat is preparing materials regarding a major fire that occurred yesterday, July 9, in the Ararat region. At approximately 11:45 AM, a fire broke out at an auto repair site on Araz Street in Artashat, owned by 22-year-old individual entrepreneur Gagik H.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, during welding at the site, a fire ignited in a ВАЗ 2121 vehicle with license plate 88 XТ 899 belonging to 42-year-old Sevak K. from Vayk. The fire resulted in the vehicle being completely burned along with all property at the auto repair site.

According to G. Shamshyan, Sevak K. stated that his passport, driver's license, vehicle technical passport, bank cards, and 1,500 US dollars were in the car, and he suffered damage totaling 2 million 500 thousand drams.

It is reported that the welding work was carried out by 37-year-old Samvel H., a resident of Norashen village in Ararat region, who works at the specified auto repair site as a welder.
