New Details: 46-Year-Old Owner of 'Surmalu' Market Attempts Suicide

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, just now, an operational group from the Yerevan Police Department, led by the head of the department Garik Gukasyan, the deputy head of the operational division Alik Mamikonyan, and the head of the Criminal Investigation Department Vahe Musheghyan, along with the operational group from the Central Police Department led by Arman Papyan, the operational group from the Shengavit Police Department headed by Hrach Khostegyan, and the operational group from the Erebuni Police Department led by the acting head Mamikon Hakobyan, alongside investigators from the Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, have conducted extensive work to determine where 46-year-old Felix Hovhannisyan from Yerevan sustained gunshot wounds.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, through multifaceted and extensive efforts, it has been established that the gunshot wounds were received in a living room at 72/2 Brusov street in the central administrative district.

G. Shamshyan reports that today, Mr. Hovhannisyan visited the aforementioned address and, in the living room in the presence of several witnesses, shot himself with a pistol he had with him. The witnesses then transported him to the Surb Astvatsatsin Medical Center in the Shengavit administrative district, where doctors managed to save his life, after which he was transferred to Astghik Medical Center.

According to G. Shamshyan, police and investigative department personnel, along with experts, are currently on site. They have discovered the pistol and two fired cartridges at the scene. The Yerevan Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia has launched a criminal case regarding the incident.
