The Language of Threat Will Not Prevail: Zohrab Mnatsakanyan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, stated that Armenia does not believe and does not accept that effective practical progress can be made in the peaceful resolution process of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue when the situation on the ground is escalating.

"We do not believe that it is possible to negotiate with one hand while firing with the other. That approach will have no future. We have stated this many times, and I will repeat it now: the language of threat will not work in the negotiation process. There cannot be a situation where we negotiate under the shadow of the threat of violence. Our confidence is quite high, and in that regard, we are not the ones accepting the threat. The language of threat will not prevail," Mnatsakanyan said.
