Fact: The Mandate Will Be 'Thrown in Their Faces'

The newspaper "Fact" reports that journalists have noticed that Sasun Mikayelyan, a member of the "My Step" faction, has recently been absent from the National Assembly's plenary sessions. Sources say he is quite upset and angry.

Everything started when Mikayelyan did not support the candidacy of Kotayk Province Governor Romanos Petrosyan during a discussion in Abovyan. The governor's press secretary reportedly did not deny that this matter would be discussed in the ruling party's circles.

Following this, Sasun Mikayelyan unexpectedly failed to secure a position in the new leadership of the ruling party, despite being the acting president of the party before the election of the Union of Armenians of the World (UAW) president.

According to information from "Fact," he has privately stated that he will soon 'throw' his parliamentary mandate 'in their faces.'

Efforts to reach the deputy throughout the day yesterday were unsuccessful, as his phone number was unavailable. Attempts to contact relevant authorities for further clarification were also met with obstacles. Lilit Makunts, leader of the "My Step" faction in the National Assembly, did not respond to phone calls, and the administration indicated she was busy with a meeting.

Up until the time the newspaper was sent to print, no responses were received. The secretary of the faction, Hakob Simidyan, was also unreachable.

The only successful contact from the ruling party was with MP Vahagn Hovakimyan, who remarked, "I can't answer that question, although I think it's absurd. Only Mr. Mikayelyan can provide a clear answer to the issue."
