Bakoy Sakhakyan Positions Himself
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Personnel reshuffles in Artsakh will continue. According to our information, there will be another appointment soon; Igor Grigoryan will be appointed as the head of the Investigative Committee, who previously served as the head of the investigative department of the police and as the police chief.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, by decree of Bakoy Sakhakyan, Arshavir Gharamyan was appointed as the Secretary of the Security Council, and a few days ago, Levon Mnatsakanyan was appointed as the police chief. All three of these names are close associates of Bakoy Sakhakyan.
Recently, also appointed as the deputy commander of the defense army is Mikael Arzumanyan, who was removed from the position of deputy chief military inspector a year ago by Nikol Pashinyan.
These appointments are interpreted by some as the Artsakh authorities positioning themselves amid rumors that the Armenian authorities may incite unrest in Artsakh at a decisive moment. Therefore, they are appointing trusted individuals to key positions.
It is also possible that after the rejection of the referendum to amend the Constitution, Samvel Babayan will take his supporters to the streets." For more details, see today's issue of the newspaper.
