If We Come to Power… Edmon Marukyan

“We must become stronger, fortify ourselves, strengthen the economy, enhance our defenses, increase the number of contract soldiers, pay our military well, resolve social security issues, and address housing matters. We can continuously talk about solving the problem, but we must not forget that during this time we need to strengthen ourselves and restore the disrupted geopolitical balance,” said Edmon Marukyan, the head of the 'Enlightened Armenia' parliamentary faction, during a meeting with journalists at Yerablur today.

Speaking about the government’s personnel policy, he stated that stricter measures should be taken and the military service of individuals should also be considered when appointing to public office.

“Under previous governments, this was not taken into account, nor is it being considered under the current government. I can promise that if we come to power, we will take it into account. This concerns the executive branch,” Marukyan said.
