Former Authorities Destroyed Materials at NSS Before Leaving, Says Pashinyan

“I want to be candid – a service investigation has been ongoing at the NSS for several months because the previous authorities, according to service materials, destroyed materials at the NSS shortly before the revolution,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a conversation with journalists today.

When asked about the significance of the destroyed materials, the Prime Minister responded with a smile.

“What was destroyed, who knows? A service investigation is underway, and I cannot say what the results will be. But I can say that the former authorities destroyed materials before leaving. I am not a lawyer, but my political assessment is that this is a crime, because were those materials their own property that they destroyed? There could have been materials on numerous issues there.”
