Alen Simonyan Discusses Davit Sanasaryan's Case and His Friendship with Vanetsyan

The Vice President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, addressed the case of former head of the NSS Davit Sanasaryan during a Facebook press conference with Radio Azatutyun.

He commented on rumors that he is friends with the Director of the NSS and that he is somehow involved in Sanasaryan's case.

“Arthur Vanetsyan is my friend, but a friend is a friend, and the state is the state. It cannot be said that law enforcement in the Republic of Armenia has fabricated a case against anyone. Especially if you have been the head of the prime minister's control for quite some time,” he stated.

According to him, Davit Sanasaryan places himself in a bad situation, emphasizing that it is possible to fabricate a case in Armenia, for which he has fought, where he has worked and held a supervisory position.

“In Armenia, no one has a case fabricated against them by law enforcement for political reasons,” Simonyan asserted.

The Vice President of the National Assembly indicated that we must wait for the judicial process.
