Serj Tankian on the ‘From Yerevan to Amulsar: Participating in the Large Rally’ Initiative
The initiative is led by the Armenian Environmental Front. On May 11, the community of Jermuk and all those opposed to the exploitation of the Amulsar metallic mine will take to the streets to reaffirm their decision made months ago: Amulsar must remain a mountain, and the waters must flow clear and clean to Lake Sevan, the Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions. Jermuk must continue to be Armenia's number one spa and tourism center.
In a post on his Facebook page, Tankian wrote: “The Armenian Environmental Front and the residents of Jermuk are organizing a march in Vayots Dzor and Jermuk to reaffirm their negative stance towards the Amulsar mine.”
For those interested in joining, the details are provided below.” Along with his post, the musician shared an announcement about the event.
