Arsen Davtyan, Arrested, Removed From Deputy Minister of Health Position
The Prime Minister of Armenia has decided to remove Arsen Davtyan from his position as Deputy Minister of Health.
According to the decision, “Guided by Article 9, Part 1 of the Law on Public Service of the Republic of Armenia, Arsen Davtyan is relieved from the position of Deputy Minister of Health.”
Earlier, it was reported that according to the National Security Service's announcement, on March 30 of this year, the head of one medical institution personally delivered a large sum of money as a bribe to Arsen Davtyan in his office. The deputy minister, who was apprehended on the same day, was arrested, and on April 2, he was placed in custody.
As for the person suspected of giving the bribe, taking into account their age and health condition, a measure of restraint has been applied, requiring them to sign that they would not leave.
