Transgender Speech is a Provocation Against BHK: Tsarukyan

“This is a provocation not against ‘My Step’ but against the ‘Prosperous Armenia’ party,” said BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan during a conversation with reporters, commenting on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that the situation involving a transgender individual was a staged provocation against ‘My Step’.

“Today, I say that we would be very pleased if Mr. Prime Minister uses all his opportunities; he has those 'contacts,' and orders that in two hours it will be uncovered, and we would be very grateful, and the people will also know honestly who those provocateurs are,” Gagik Tsarukyan stated.

It should be noted that a few days ago, a transgender individual spoke during a hearing organized by the Permanent Commission on Human Rights Protection and Public Issues in the National Assembly. The commission chair, Naira Zohrabyan, stated that the speech was outside the agenda and pointed out that it had been organized in advance.

In addressing this topic, Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that it was the representative of the BHK party, Naira Zohrabyan, who signed the list of speakers.
