Mamedyarov Seeks Hasanov's Assistance to Withdraw from Negotiations, Analyst Says

Military analyst Ashot Asatryan stated on his Facebook page:

“Mamedyarov is resorting to Hasanov's assistance to withdraw from negotiations. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister is already preparing to shift the blame for his failed negotiations onto Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov. Mamedyarov has declared, ‘Those who cannot reach an agreement with me will have to negotiate with Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov.’ They have been unable to digest David Tonoyan's statement for several days now. The situation has escalated to the point where threats are being issued at the level of the Foreign Minister, which has not happened before. Yes, our Foreign Minister can also calmly declare that we have negotiators with Zakir Hasanov and that David Tonoyan's hands have long been itching for this.”
