8-Year-Old Boy Found Hanging by His Brother: Details

The Investigative Committee of Armenia is preparing materials to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of an 8-year-old child in the Shengavit administrative district. This has been reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary data, on February 23, 2019, at 3:30 PM, the Shengavit Police received a call from the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center reporting that a child born in 2010 had been brought in deceased. An operational investigative group immediately went to the hospital. During the preparation of materials, it was determined that the 8-year-old boy was found hanging by his 18-year-old brother at their home in the Shengavit administrative district.

According to preliminary information from the forensic expert, no signs of violence were found on the body during the external examination. Currently, an investigative group is working at the scene. An investigation is ongoing to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of the 8-year-old child.

Earlier, it was reported that today a call was made from the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center stating that a team of emergency doctors had transported a child to them in deceased condition.
