Azerbaijan calls on the Armenian leadership not to escalate the situation surrounding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“Nagorno-Karabakh is an inseparable part of Azerbaijan and the resolution of the conflict is possible only within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity. Azerbaijan will never reconcile with the occupation of its lands. Now, the principle of strength is becoming dominant in the world: 'Who is strong is right,'” declared Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of the press service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, Leyla Abdullayeva, also commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement, noting that Azerbaijan urges the Armenian leadership not to escalate the situation surrounding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict but to contribute to the peace process.

“On one hand, Pashinyan declares the importance of creating conditions for peace, while on the other hand, he tries to change the negotiation format, accusing Azerbaijan of 'aggressive rhetoric,' as if Baku is preparing its population for war rather than peace.

Azerbaijan encourages the benefits and development that the resolution of the conflict will bring to the region, and the sooner the Prime Minister of Armenia realizes the importance of these benefits, the sooner he can implement the 'economic revolution' promised to the citizens of Armenia.
