Azerbaijani Suspect in Karaganda Murder Case Has Given Testimony: Who Killed the Kazakh?
The suspect in the murder case arising from a brawl in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, Narek Gururyan's detention extension appeal will be reviewed in court on Monday. According to SHANTNEWS sources, there are reports that an Azerbaijani participant in the brawl, suspected of murder, has confessed to killing the 23-year-old Kazakh.
"On Monday, it will become clear what awaits Narek if an official letter arrives from Kazakhstan. The criminal prosecution against Narek will not be dropped, as he was involved in the brawl; however, the murder charge will be removed, which is very important. What awaits him after that charge is removed cannot be said until the investigation is completed. There are several points in the article; if he is accused of intentional bodily harm, he could face six years in prison, otherwise, he may be released by paying a fine," his lawyer stated.
Sources indicate that Narek's lawyers have met with him and that everything is normal. Narek has been informed that the Azerbaijani suspect has confessed.
"We told him to at least feel a little happy," emphasized our source.
