Details on the Tragic Accident Involving Soldiers

According to information from the "Hayots Ashkharh" newspaper, the investigation body has urged experts to expedite the presentation of conclusions regarding the soldiers who died in the accident. Essentially, after this conclusion is provided, it will become clear who among the command staff displayed negligence that ultimately led to the soldiers' deaths.

It is recalled that the incident occurred on November 7, 2017, around 1:00 PM, when a Kamaz vehicle under the responsibility of military unit N went off the traffic part of the road and rolled into a ravine on the 5th kilometer section of the Vorotan-Khndzoreshk highway. Four soldiers died, while the other servicemen in the vehicle were transported to a military hospital with various injuries.

A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident. Meanwhile, while law enforcement was conducting an investigation, the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, discharged several individuals from military service due to the incident.
