Major Car Accident in Ararat: Drivers Hospitalized

Today, January 19, a major car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 7:00 PM, two vehicles collided head-on on the 2nd kilometer of the Sisavan-Vanashen inter-community road: a Lada-21099 with license plate 34 NC 786 and a Volkswagen with license plate X195XA161 RUS.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, both drivers sustained injuries and were assisted by bystanders to be removed from their vehicles and transported to the Vedi Medical Center.

Officers from the 2nd Platoon of the Road Police, led by the platoon commander Vahan Evinian and senior inspector Karapet Harutyunyan, arrived at the scene. The investigation at the location is being led by the investigating officer Gevorg Poghosyan from the same unit, who is preparing materials regarding the incident. The police are identifying the drivers involved.
