Puppet Theatre Employees Discontent with Director, Planning to Sue
Employees of the Yerevan State Puppet Theatre have expressed dissatisfaction, accusing director Ruben Babayan of abusing his official position. They claim that in addition to their assigned tasks, they are also required to perform additional work unrelated to their positions, according to News.am.
The employees state that their issues with the director have existed for a long time but have not been voiced until now. According to them, Babayan instructs the workers and drivers at the theatre to undertake extra work without compensation.
In an interview with the media, Ruben Babayan denied the allegations, assuring that he has never exploited anyone.
“For any work the employees have performed, they have received the corresponding payment. I don’t understand what they want. I instruct them to do what I am entitled to according to the contract, which clearly states that employees are obliged to carry out the director's instructions,” he said.
