Road Conditions in Armenia: Fog, Black Ice, and Impassable Roads
The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reports that as of December 23, at 10:00 AM, fog is present on the roads of Kotayk, Sevan, and Artik, with visibility of 50-60 meters. The same situation is observed on the Sevan-Yerevan road at the "Chaini" bends, as well as in Goris, Syunik Province.
The Vardenyats Pass is open to all types of vehicles.
All interstate and republican highways in Armenia are accessible.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia informs that as of December 23, at 08:00 AM, most roads in the country are passable.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers.
There are patches of black ice on the Sotk-Karvachar road.
Fog is also reported in Goris, Syunik Province.
Drivers are advised to travel in the regions exclusively with winter tires.
According to information received from the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
