Alert Received That Soldiers Entered Polling Station in Formation
On the day of the extraordinary parliamentary elections, December 9, the Ministry of Defense's hotline was operational from 08:00 to 20:00. A total of 55 calls were received, mainly concerning the organization of elections, the transportation of soldiers from military units, and voting issues for conscripts on leave. This information was reported by the Ministry's press service.
Alerts were raised about soldiers entering the polling stations in formation; however, on-site investigations revealed that this impression was formed by misunderstanding, and it pertained to the organization of the process of entering the polling stations in queues and groups.
The organization of voting for conscripts on leave was emphasized. It was clarified that there are some legal gaps in this regard, thus the proposal has been acknowledged and will be discussed with relevant authorities to find systemic solutions.
No alerts regarding violations were received via the Ministry of Defense hotline.
