New Opportunity for Parents of Newborns: Ministry of Health Provides Details

Citizens of the Republic of Armenia can now register their newborns within the primary healthcare system (polyclinic) online. This information has been provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

To use the service, it is necessary to access the system through the “I Am” national identification platform, click the “Continue” button, undergo identification, and then select the appropriate medical institution and doctor.

The father registered in marriage with the mother of the newborn is eligible to carry out the online registration. In the case of the mother, having the marriage registered is not mandatory.

The birth of the newborn must be registered before registering the child with the medical organization.

If the registration address of the newborn and the actual residence do not match, the service can only be utilized physically by visiting the medical organization located in the region of the actual residence.

The registration of the newborn at the medical organization is carried out immediately. After registration, the family doctor is expected to contact the parent within a few days to organize a home visit.
