Erdogan Provides Details on Meeting with Putin

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday in Bishkek took place in an effective atmosphere, during which the issue of Ukraine was discussed.

“We had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Putin. During this meeting, we had the opportunity to discuss, in particular, the events in Ukraine, and it turned out to be quite effective. The meeting took place in a very, very sincere atmosphere,” Erdogan noted while speaking to reporters on the plane returning from Bishkek.

It is worth recalling that yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met in Bishkek. Erdogan emphasized during the meeting that he attaches great importance to these negotiations, and that the Turkey-Russia relationship is currently at a much higher level than at any other time in the past.
