In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, during the expanded format meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO+), Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed his peers in Armenian. All other leaders from the CIS member states present at the event – including the presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan – delivered their speeches in Russian. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

In his speech, the head of the Armenian government referred to the formation of a multipolar world and current international developments. Pashinyan also mentioned that he plans to discuss the strategy for further development of bilateral relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This year, Kyrgyzstan holds the presidency in the SCO. The summit in Bishkek has high-level delegations from 17 countries and representatives from 6 international organizations, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Additionally, aside from the Prime Minister of Armenia, the leaders of India, Turkey, and Pakistan also delivered speeches in their native languages.
