Papoyan Visits Ararat Food Factory to Monitor Harvesting
The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, visited the Ararat Food Factory LLC on August 31 to closely monitor the harvesting process. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, which noted that the Deputy Minister, Arman Khojoyan, also participated in the visit.
The officials state that this season, the company is purchasing peaches at a price of 175 AMD per kilogram. Currently, around 2,500 tons of peaches have been harvested, and it is expected that a total of 6,500 to 7,000 tons will be gathered throughout the year.
The company plans to produce around 7 million units of canned food and 5 to 7 million units of natural juice annually. The company has benefited from a government support program aimed at ensuring a smooth harvesting process. In addition to peaches, the company also harvests and processes eggplants, tomatoes, apples, plums, and more.
The products are exported to several countries, including Russia, the USA, Germany, the Baltic states, Romania, Israel, and Kazakhstan. Since its establishment, the company has seen investments of around 25 million USD, and the number of employees has reached 100.
