Discussions on Various Proposals with Moscow and Kyiv: Fidan
Turkey has prepared proposals for improving navigation safety in the Black Sea and is discussing them with Moscow and Kyiv, stated Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Attacks on vessels in the Black Sea could lead to a 10-12% increase in global grain prices, reported the 'Economim' newspaper on Monday, citing Turkish business representatives.
“The current situation is damaging global food security. We receive requests from various countries to find a solution. We have some proposals, and we are discussing them with the parties (Moscow and Kyiv),” Fidan said during a press conference in Istanbul on Monday. Earlier it was reported that Turkey is maintaining contact with Moscow and Kyiv concerning navigation safety in the Black Sea.
