The President of Armenia Signs New Laws
President Vahagn Khachaturyan signed several laws on August 31, including a project to amend the law on the "Structure and Activities of the Government." According to this amendment, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry will be renamed the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence.
Additionally, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs will be renamed the Ministry of Labor and Welfare, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will become the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
It is noteworthy that on August 27, the National Assembly fully adopted the package of legislative proposals regarding amendments to the law on the structure and activities of the government and related laws, with a vote of 64 in favor and 26 against.
