Armenia currently does not see the prospect of unfreezing its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was announced by the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

“I do not see a prospect for unfreezing our participation in the CSTO in any way, but we have bilateral agreements and obligations that make us allies with Russia in the defense sector,” said Mirzoyan.

According to the Foreign Minister, at the same time, the Armenia-Russia relations need restoration and revision.

Mirzoyan emphasized that relations with Russia are in many ways more than just a strategic partnership. “Russia, in fact, is more than a strategic partner in legal, economic, and political terms. We have agreements that make us allies, which is more than just a strategic partnership,” stated the Armenian Foreign Minister.
