7743 Families Displaced from Artsakh Receive Housing Acquisition Certificates
As of August 13, 7743 families displaced from Artsakh have received certificates for housing acquisition. This was announced by the spokesperson for the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Nver Kostanyan, who refuted information circulated in the media regarding the program.
Kostanyan stated that within the framework of the program, a total of 7743 families—31,845 individuals—have received certificates. Among them, 7147 families received certificates for housing acquisition, 297 for construction, and 299 for assistance in repaying existing mortgages.
At the same time, 4146 families have already utilized their certificates, totaling 19,098 individuals. Among these, 3853 families have used the housing acquisition certificate, 62 for construction, and 231 for mortgage repayment assistance.
Kostanyan pointed out that the leading region in terms of the number of implemented acquisition and construction certificates is Kotayk, with 1081 certificates, followed by Armavir with 667, Ararat with 531, Yerevan with 450, and Lori with 368.
He urged the media to base their reports on numerical data and factual grounds regarding the program.
It is worth noting that 'Hraparak' had reported that due to high housing prices, the certificates provided under the program are facing implementation issues.
