Narek Karapetyan Reveals 'Kebab Story' to the Ruling Party
“The court that you have created will judge you.” This statement was made by Narek Karapetyan, the head of the “Strong Armenia” faction, addressing the members of the ruling Civil Contract party in the National Assembly.
Karapetyan cited various criminal cases, referring specifically to what he labeled the “kebab story.” “Someone is being judged because they promised that after the victory of 'Strong Armenia,' Ruben Vardanyan would return, while in Alaverdi, a person is facing judgment for simply saying to two individuals, ‘register for work,’” he stated.
Referring to the earlier mention of the “kebab story” by NA President Ruben Rubinyan, Karapetyan added: “Mr. Rubinyan also spoke about the kebab story, in which the son-in-law and father-in-law shared a humorous conversation, which led to the father-in-law being apprehended.”
He emphasized that the authorities can isolate separate incidents from various cases and present them as they wish. “You can cut and present any case like that, but nothing will force our people, and you will not be able to convince them that you should rightly be here while the Prosperous Armenia party should be here instead,” said Narek Karapetyan.
