HEC Advances from 21st to 13th Largest Taxpayer, Says Aleksanyan
Candidate for Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Vahagn Aleksanyan highlighted the growth in tax indicators of HEC and ZPMC following state participation. During the National Assembly session on August 3, Aleksanyan addressed the claim made by the leader of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, Narek Karapetyan, that companies under state management have zero benefits. He noted that before the appointment of a temporary manager, HEC was ranked 21st among Armenia's 1,000 largest taxpayers, and now it occupies the 13th position, emphasizing the significant increase recorded.
According to Aleksanyan, a similar trend can be observed in the case of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZPMC). “ZPMC paid as much tax in 1-2 years with state participation as it did in 8-9 years prior to that. I won't get into specifics. In the 1-2 years since state involvement, it paid as much tax as it had previously paid in 8-9 years. Do you see this difference or not?
