They Just Exist: Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that one should not pay attention to Lithuania's comments regarding potential strikes on the Kaliningrad region. The Russian official noted that representatives of the Baltic state are merely trying to remind others of their existence with such statements.
Earlier, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Navickas claimed that NATO supposedly has 'means' to be used against Russian military infrastructure in the Kaliningrad region.
“You know, we should somehow keep this out of the spotlight, pay less attention to it, and give it less importance,” Lavrov said in a comment to Pavel Zarubin of the Vesti news agency regarding the threats from the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.
According to him, he has stopped reading such messages.
“Well, they need some means to assert their existence. But, unlike the famous philosopher who said, 'I think, therefore I am,' these ones just exist,” the minister added.
