Iran's Warning: Some Want to Lead the Region to War
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that conflicting messages from the United States are changing positions daily. “Certain parties want to sabotage negotiations and drag America into war. We hope that negotiations will return to a rational course and that we will achieve a solution through diplomatic means,” he noted.
“The Strait of Hormuz is open, and all ships can pass through it, except for hostile nations. Those who wish to pass must coordinate their actions. An unobstructed passage through the strait is important to us, and we are ensuring it. We have faced a maritime blockade. We are consulting with Oman and hope that these agreements will yield results in the future,” he added.
Araqchi also mentioned his meetings with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of India and stated, “We have close positions with India. We can collaborate with the Indian side. The situation in the Strait of Hormuz is complicated, and we are making efforts to help stabilize it,” he stated.
